New COVID rules for Passengers traveling to or from Nigeria

From Sunday 5th Dec 2021, NCDC ( the Nigerian regulatory authority on COVID and infectious diseases ) has proposed new rules that every passenger must present a negative COVID test result (Pcr, not rapid test or antigen) and a a permit to travel certificate to be allowed to travel to Nigeria.

Every traveler irrespective of age must also fill in their details on the NCDC site.
All outbound passengers (no matter the nationality) who are partially or unvaccinated must do Pcr test <48hours , while those who are fully vaccinated should present their COVID certificates.


Inbound travellers must also do Pcr test (For Partially and unvaccinated passengers, tests will be done on day 2 and 7 and undergo a 7 day isolation period), fully vaccinated passengers must do a pcr test on day 2 after their arrival.
Only children less than 10 years are exempted from paying for the tests.
Failure to follow the new rules, the passenger will not be allowed to board, repatriated or has his/her passport flagged and ban from future traveling.
